Bad enough that the phone cuts through conentration and thoughts with satanist ringtones, but it's even worse if you answered the call for no good reason.

The hobbit films do progressively get worse. The first two were fun films, but number three was just bleh. Two films would have been perfect for the book, IMO. Three was too much but only one wouldn't have been anywhere near enough. Get rid of azog, that awful dwarf romannce subplot and give us less bard and it would have been amazing.

Similar thing happened with me, though, with World War Z. It's a book I love (I've read it several times) because of how it gave a unique spin on the zombie genre. The film adaptation literally only shared the name; the stresses that the only advantage humans had was mobility where the infected could only walk, all of the more political-esque stuff that goes on with how the nations reacted to each other and the plague, etc. All gone because RAWR BRADD PITT SHOOT ZAMBIES LEL.

Also the new Battlefront. It removed literally all of the features that made the older ones liked. But it's knowing that if this is how they've approached the 2015 one, then it means we're likely never to get a 'proper' sequel to BFII. Hell, I'd even pay full price for a 1080p 60fps remaster of the originals or a fucking direct port to the current gen consoles (>tfw no pc).

Speaking of Star Wars, the way they just retconned the old canon really peeved me off. I mean, I understand why and I have nothing against the newer stuff, but the fact that even the the pre-ROTJ stuff is non-canon is really annoying. I'd have been fien with them declaring just the post-ROTJ stuff non-canon, but I don't see why all the old republic and clone wars stuff has to be retconned. Meh, as far as I'm concerned, it's canon until something new contradicts it anyway but still.

I don't think it's quite as simple as that, if we're talking about "bad." I wouldn't figure it's "bad is good." More along the lines of you can get good things from bad things. And vice versa.

The bad is never good. But depending on what it can sometimes lead to, or how you play your own hand in the matter, you can end up with an end result that's better than just plain shit all by itself.
