I don't even like being frightened, I avoid horror games and movies at all costs

but the whole Kennedy/Lincoln thing has always particularly freaked me out because it's real, and there's no explanation behind it at all

it's like why some of the scariest things can be some of the most mundane things, as long as they're unexplained. Like if you're alone in your house, you know for a fact that a chair was facing toward a wall, and then later in the day, it's facing a different direction. Shit like that is the absolute worst.

The video I linked gave a pretty decent explanation of it. It's not a creepypasta/horror video--it's just a guy discussing various kinds of coincidences, and he touches upon the Kennedy/Lincoln thing at 11:03.

The basic explanation is that it's not actually so weird at all. If you look hard enough, you can pick two people and find any number of seemingly unlikely similarities between the two.

Hitler's first name starts with an A; Einstein's first name starts with an A.
Hitler's first name has six letters (depending on how you choose to spell it); Einstein's first name has six letters.
Hitler's wife's surname had five letters; Einstein's wife's surname had five letters.
Hitler was born on 420; Einstein was born on Pi Day.
Einstein was born ten years before Hitler.
Hitler died ten years before Einstein.

Maybe not the best example, but I think you get the point. I'm sure I could find more if I looked hard enough.
