Started watching Inuyasha again

And something still bothers me and I can't find an answer on Google. Miroku's wind tunnel that apparently sucks anything into its void.. but how can this void be a part of Miroku? When he sucks up Demons and debris, it has no negative or positive effect on him.. except those poisonous insects? How does his body end up absorbing the poison, but nothing else.. say a demon's soul or power?

Feels like a plot hole to me. Despite some errors I've noticed.. still one of the best animes I ever watched.. brings back my nostalgia every time.

you cant really look too deep into inuyasha

i just watch it for the character design and setting, and occasionally the fights are cool

plot-wise it's like... god who fuckin knows anymore

It's far from it. Is it the founding father of the current shonen formula? Yeah probably.

However even though I love me some dragonball I still recognize that it's an inconsistent mess and in all honesty not very good.

you're right, the creators of almost all the big shounen cite dragon ball as inspiration for their works. dragon ball didnt necessarily revolutionize or redefine anime or manga, but its success in foreign pop culture definitely helped spread the mediums around the world
