Not really, people started to spam threads about a topic that should have been being discussed in the sticky. They get locked, some get cleaned up and a few people got warnings/bans for going overboard.

Many of the locked threads weren't spam, is my point.

Some were, some were to do with a topic previously locked earlier in the day, some where to do with a topic that had a dedicated sticky to prevent a slew of threads and some were simply locked because of shitflinging ITT.

That's just poor moderation. That is NEVER a reason to lock an acceptable thread. Deal with the individuals that can't handle the discussion rather than further ruining the discussion.

The thread in question was joking that a user had committed suicide, hardly what I'd call an acceptable thread.
