Can you really blame Max for having a life?

I don't understand why people like going on holidays. It's more stressful than it's worth.
You must love sitting at home playing video games all day

You're a stay at home kind of person. If somebody gave you your little patch of sunshine and bunnies you'd probably stay there and very rarely venture out and about.

It's a tough concept for some people to grasp.

if the weather isn't fucking terrible, then you have to deal with the fact that everyone speaks not-english
No you don't, because the chances are that they speak English, as it's taught in many countries.

English hot weather is nothing like hot weather abroad.
English hot weather is mostly humid because of it being wet for 99%  of the year.

So.....you mean going on a mass murder spree and silencing the wails of the organic devil machine designed to consume all things in sight and emit unpleasantness from every hole?

Because that would technically count as dealing with it.

Well......technically you have to buy a ticket for yourself right? And after that ticket you have to buy another one for the baby who still counts as a passenger.

So as a matter of fact, there is a monetary investment after you buy the first ticket.

It's buying the second ticket.

Ticket is singular. One time use. You don't buy ticket for you and a baby.

You buy tickets.

Babies are evil by nature but once you get into the 2+ range it's a whole other kind of devilish affair.

Max's simplest solution is to just not take the jihadi express at this point.

I don't understand replies like this. Why not sympathize with OP on this issue? Why does it all of a sudden have to be about how it's not the righteous thing to do to complain about kids on a plane? OP obviously went through a stressful situation and there's obviously no sane thing anyone could do to rectify it. So I think it's unfair, especially considering that no one should have to deal with another person's kid. People who choose not to have kids choose to so they don't have to put up with hearing them cry and other stuff like that.

Well loaf, it's hard to sympathize with someone over something trivial and easily ignorable. As long as there are humans, there's going to be kids, and kids will cry because that's just what kids do. What separates the kids from the adults is the ability to not complain about commonplace annoyances that most people get over. Eh?

Oh trust me, sitting on an airplane with a crying kid is not just a commonplace annoyance. Air plane rides are very stressful. There's little leg room in some of them and usually if there's an annoyance in the airplane, it's going to make the whole ride very difficult to bear. I know that there's plenty of anecdotal evidence that supports this, because I and probably you have heard that children are extremely annoying on an airplane. I think that having sympathy for the guy who was annoyed makes way more sense because the kid just whined his ass of the whole time and he probably just wanted to suck a boob or something. So it's unfair.
