I don't really get this whole "If society collapses then everyone's gonna start killing each other"

like

humans are pretty social creatures
They seem to think it will be like Rome, but kinda ignore how modern society is incredibly different than Rome.

You don't think Anarchy would ensue? You seriously trust every person on this planet with that? Thugs will have the biggest advantage btw.
Except they won't, people band together and would rather ally than fight.

There's also this internet thing that breaks down social/geographical barriers allowing world-wide communication and learning. Also, great leaps in technology and social acceptance and structure. The world would not end easily.

You poor misguided fool.

I'm talking about when shit hits rock bottom. There is no internet when this happens. Everyone is fucked and civilization itself has collapsed.

If you seriously expect everyone on the planet to ally with each other, then you're on the wrong planet bro.

How will humanity end? By killing ourselves. Humans are parasites and the Earth is the organism that we've attacked (metaphorically of course). And instead of focusing our technology and time on developing some form of colony on other planets, we focus our time on preventing people from having equal rights, developing the new iPhone and talking about Miley Fucking Cyrus and her stunt at the VMAs. And when someone comes along that says "Hey what if we colonized space?" this bach of retards come at him saying "Pfft, watched a little to much Star Wars did we? Cheesh why don't you grow up and get a life. Lose your virginity. It'll make you feel better!" If you are like that fuck you and everyone you associate with. On an unrelated note: Fuck Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, One Direction and Taylor Swift

Well you see your entire argument is that human engineering won't find a way to negate those negative effects on us.
Science is powerful bro.

It's all about random chance at the end though. We're not smart enough as a species to over come many things, and there is still so much unknown out in the vast void of space. We don't even know our own planet inside out, our oceans haven't even been fully explored.

We're just as clueless as the rest of the animals that walk the earth except we have a mind to adapt with instead of just wandering around like a lost animal, but even at that we still have flaws in our system.

For instance, 5 years from now there is a chance that a meteorite that's the size if Manhattan New York is going to hit the earth leaving a massive crater killing all of us off in the process.

I haven't heard anything about it since 2005, and to be honest that's what scares me the most then the stupid bullshit that went on with the world ending in 2012. Oh and the world actually could have ended on July 23rd of 2012 instead. We were a few inches away of our planet becoming fried matter from the sun from what I've heard. I'm not sure just how true it is, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Oh, and if humanity is still alive when our sun is dying, good luck trying to survive that. It will wipe everything out of it's path when it explodes.
Okay, the Sun isn't going to explode, learn astronomy please, this stuff triggers me. Edit with more will come, but I had to say that.

In this life time? No. The Sun won't explode. I'm talking about later on.

Please study your science carefully.
I will cut you the fuck up, do not mess with me on this. The sun is not of sufficient mass to explode. It will enlarge to a red giant, then go to a white dwarf.

If that's what you seriously believe then I do feel sorry for your great great great great great great (you get the idea) grandkids should humanity be around long enough to even witness that.
Oh sweet Jesus Christ, read this.

No. It's the simple fact that that is literally [LITERALLY] BILLIONS of years away. Billions. Do you even understand how long that is? I certainly can't comprehend it. We would be loooong gone from Earth before we even had a chance at being fried in a supernova or be frozen from lack of heat with a white dwarf.

Obsolete.

Also, there is no god. God has been obsolete for a very long time now. I'm surprised that this species still clings on to it like it can still be proven.

"Obsoletion" implies there is something to replace us that is more efficient or superior to us as we are.

Although I would enjoy knowing that the human race will come to an end soon, I disagree with your assessment.

That is unless we find ways to live underground and adapt to the harsh environment. But I wouldn't be surprise if the whole human race just got nuked overnight. There is also that possibility of countries launching nukes. Let's hope no one is really stupid enough to use them.

This is the correct usage of the word "obsolete" because we do have a superior system what is true and what isn't: science.

Why on Earth would we do that? We have the capability to colonize planets, solar systems, etc. I know I'm going  a little "pie in the sky" right now but it really is a possibility.

It's peculiar that you agree with me and yet believe that humanity is obsolete as such a way of thinking as above is what allows me to disregard the concept of being obsolete.

Not necessarily.

And even if something did replace us, they wouldn't necessarily be superior to us, which wouldn't make us obsolete.

I disagree with you.

Elaborate.

That is unless we find ways to live underground and adapt to the harsh environment. But I wouldn't be surprise if the whole human race just got nuked overnight. There is also that possibility of countries launching nukes. Let's hope no one is really stupid enough to use them.
Shit doesn't happen like that, because life isn't that action-movie like, and because people care about self preservation and don't want to kill each other off.

I'm sorry but I disagree. Human nature has proven time and time again that you cannot trust everyone. Did you forget about rape? Murder? You think that won't happen? You think everyone in the world actually gives a damn about self preservation?

If so, you need to unplug yourself from the matrix and wake up.

the one true God is Doctor Doom and we should all be worshiping him.
If we're one of the most flawed animals on the planet why are we the most successful?

Because no other species has built guns or other weapons.

Yet.

If there's one thing that really annoys me it's when people underestimate the tenacity and ingenuity of humans.

You seriously think humanity is "the shit" huh?

"Obsoletion" implies there is something to replace us that is more efficient or superior to us as we are.

Although I would enjoy knowing that the human race will come to an end soon, I disagree with your assessment.

Unless the planet gets fried, something will replace us.

Not necessarily.

And even if something did replace us, they wouldn't necessarily be superior to us, which wouldn't make us obsolete.

Unless it's another new species of humans, how the hell would you know that?
