I didn't get in on the AMA because they're just not something I'm into, but this is interesting.
Definitely a good way to connect, like Fruit said, you came across a lot differently there then you do through text. Personally, I think the difference is a good one.

Not entirely. I record music in my room and simply cut any fans or tvs off when nobody is home. If my mic isn't insanely sensitive then I don't have to worry about background noise.

I'd imagine soundproofing a room costs a lot, if you're worried about that sort of thing, however any decent headset has a good microphone, I can't see a standalone being too expensive.

He tosses shit out, yeah. The stuff he keeps in there is just stuff he finds valuable, but would otherwise take up too much room inside the house (the storage room itself is connected to the garage). The reason it's so messy is because, well, he's a guy.
