There's also a clear distinction between thirty seconds and ten minutes. Most people who watch television in America sit through ten minutes of commercials when they watch their shows. And no one really gives a fuck.

No, I'm choosing not to cooperate with dumb advertisements. Just like how I don't use mediums that have models as ridiculous as TV.

Well the type of ad that appears on a video is determined by the uploader, so maybe you should just stay away from that particular channel rather than, I dunno, killing the whole internet.

Then someone should come up with an advirusblocker. An adblocker that prevents malicious content from going through by blocking the ad, but still generates revenue for the website.

The only solution I can imagine would be plaintext advertisements with hyperlinks. It could work, but it'd be garbage for its purpose of grabbing attention and clicks, and ad-tracking, no offense.

The other problem with a virus blocker is that it works like a dictionary, in that it's limited by its number of entries. It doesn't do anything to stop zero-day vulnerabilities until it's updated with a new definition. AdBlock avoids that problem by denying an ad virus that opportunity in the first place.

That's what my script would do, except it would still generate revenue for the website. Unless you're saying that's impossible, which... I don't see how it would be, but I'm not a programmer.
