Belle.

Dark-haired, bright-eyed, tenacious, well-read French beauty who is more concerned with the depth and quality of one's character than anything else?

Pretty obvious.

I don't know why, but I've always just liked her the most. She has the best voice actress, she's elegant, and she's such a representative "Disney Princess" while having thoughts and motivations of her own. The fact she's from one of my favorite Disney movies probably helps, too.

Mulan isn't classic Disney. Nothing after the 70s is.

i didn't want to say "modern" because that would be stupid too, and someone could probably point to someone else at this point, even though she's still my favorite out of all of them

ah, makes sense

I faintly recall reading the official names or whatever for each Disney "era" a little while back, but I don't remember them now

She has 18 lines throughout the whole movie, so that should be expected. From what we see of her, though, she was plenty of personality.

Every line added something we didn't know. Like how she doesn't want to be a princess, but still wants to control her own life. She recognized that there was a middle ground. More than that, she's smart, driven, and vain.

I'm not sitting here gushing over Aurora, she's just my favorite Disney princess. All of them are a typical princess story or going out of the way to avoid a typical princess story. I'll take the first over the second. And Sleeping Beauty is the best iteration of that.
