Who paid you to look at this?
The framework of 10 Cloverfield Lane was originally shot as a psychological indie horror film titled "The Cellar" with a budget of about $5 million (the original Cloverfield film cost about $25 million just for comparison). Paramount picked up on it and slapped the Cloverfield name on in what can only be described as a genius business move designed to save a dying indie film from completely bombing at the box office.

To say the least, I was severely disappointed. The film had almost zero resemblance to the original, and watching 2 hours worth of scenes set in a basement and then about 10 minutes of Syfy tier CGI action at the end wasn't worth it.

Did anyone else watch Cloverfield? Your thoughts?

They keep dancing around this huge alien battle and I don't know if they can pull it off tbh

At least not in the original style of the first Cloverfield

Nah son. Not till JJ buys out The Last Airbender II and slaps the Cloverfield name on it.

Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
If it wasn’t a found footage film, it could have been way better.

I still enjoyed it but the movie has it’s fair share of problems.

I will say that it’s better than Zilla ‘98.

I mean, it’s not really difficult to make a monster movie better than that film.

Garlemald did nothing wrong.
Weren’t we supposed to get answers we never got in The Cloverfield Paradox?

Yeah, wasn't a big fan of it being a found footage film. Never really liked those. But regardless, I still enjoyed Cloverfield enough to the point where I wanted to see more of it.

Like 10 Cloverfield Lane, it just left more questions than answers.

Though I enjoyed the original, what more can they do? The monster already wiped out "½ the population" and he/she wasn't even trying.

It should have ended with a confirmed kill of the monster once the airforce bombarded it.
