What do you think? Personally I'm getting a bit sick of the endless superhero movies coming out, even though some of them are admittedly pretty enjoyable.

I think he's wrong, just because something is scarce doesn't mean it's dead.
Westerns mostly died out because they had nothing left to give that properly excited audiences, imo.
Look at Django Unchained, if westerns are dead, how did that do well?

If the capeshit storm dies down, it'll be for the best, but the genre won't die until the source material, comic books, die first.

There's a lot of low budget shit that gets pumped out daily

and the Walking Dead is still somehow relevant

and look at all the zombie games that still get released

Most of it flies too far under the radar to be relevant anywhere, but yeah, you're right.

Yup, it sure seems to be going that way. My biggest damper on the Avengers 3 hype train is that people will have stopped caring while Marvel will be out of ideas by then.
