Wow. Looks pretty good, actually.

Really hope they don't throw in Darth Vader too much, though. Don't want to.risk making him appear ineffective. Also not a big fan of the clones' design.

I'm kinda confused why Rex and his bearded buddies wouldn't have turned on the Jedi like all the other clones

The canon explanation is that there's a Manchurian Candidate thing going on with the clones. They have a bio chip of some sort embedded in their brains at birth that causes them to act accordingly whenever they hear a "trigger phrase" (AKA hearing "execute Order 66").

Rex was witness to a clone who had his chip removed, learned of Palpatine's plot, and then in a drugged state tried to explain it but was killed. Evidently, Rex put the pieces together and told Commander Wolffe and some other clones what was going on, and they had the bio chips removed.

Oh right I remember the chip thing but I don't remember them getting their chips out, it's been a while since I watched it.

They didn't show Rex getting his removed, as the show was canceled before they got the chance to. I imagine we'll be told how and when it occurred through comics, dialogue in the show, etc.

He knew about the chips, but possibly not Order 66.

He may have been questioning things about his purpose, etc. And simply decided to have the chip removed, gone AWOL, and later discovered what one of the "trigger phrases" served to do after or during Order 66.

A plot whole in media that hasn't been released? Remember, the show was canceled before they had the chance to show any of this, although that is assuming they had planned on this (probably didn't).

I'm just thinking of stuff.

You're acting like I'm excusing a massive plot hole, when I'm not. Even if it ends up being a plot hole I definitely won't be excusing it.

I am theorizing as to how this occurred, seeing as we never see the events in which we can point out plot holes in.

TCW sucks for the majority of the first two seasons. However, once the show hits it's stride it gets much better. There are still some lame arcs, even in the later seasons (which for the most part are great), but aside from that I'd say it is worth watching. If you want, I can PM you a list of what I consider  the good episodes, so you don't have to bother with the "bleh" ones.

Rebels improved a lot faster. Rebels season one is far better than TCW season one. It's pretty kiddy up until Tarkin shows up, and has a couple people decapitated. After that, it gets significantly better.

I'm currently rewatching The Clone Wars with a friend so he can then watch Rebels. Season 2 is when it starts getting good, with the introductions of Cad Bane, Boba Fett, Landing at point Rain, and such. The first season isn't as bad as I remember it, but a lot of episodes don't seem necessary to watch. It's mainly just mindless action, like the first half of 2003 Clone Wars.

Aside from Landing At Point Rain and a couple other episodes I recall S2 is being filled with loads if crap episodes concerning diplomacy and such.

Yes, you'll have to trudge through a bit of Season 1, but it's worth it. I suggest you watch in Chronological order ( Lucas did some prequel episodes in the later seasons, because Lucas) which you can find here:
http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder

This is my opinion on TCW:

- Movie/Season 1: Very kid friendly tones. Not much happens to further the story, mainly just to introduce and get to know some new/underdeveloped characters

- Season 2: Animation improves significantly. Story starts to pick up and things get rolling. Lots of character development still

- Season 3: Politics and the Force. Animation budget increases, making the show look gorgeous.  This is when The Clone Wars starts to rival the movies, in my opinion.

- Season 4: Shit goes down, along with some extra action stuff. Great season

- Season 5: Even more shit goes down. Some wonky side arcs, but are now becoming important in Rebels. Better than Revenge of the Sith in my opinion

- Season 6: May as well just call this season "The prologue to Episode III"

- Utopau/ Bad Batch arc: extra content. incomeplete animation due to cancelation. Shows Brobi-wan Kenobi and and Anakin bro-ing it out. also touches up on Anakin's feelings on Ahsoka. Anakin also doesn't put up with any shit in these arcs.

I think you might be thinking of the first half of Season 3 before the time skip. I just looked and there's only 3 political centric episodes in Season 2, and one of them is right after a shit load of action filled episodes.

I like the new look. Anyway, here's the Clones' identities.

The Clone on the left is Gregor, that Republic Commando we saw in Season 5.

The middle one is Rex (duh).

And the one on the right is Commander Wolffe (Filoni's favorite).

I think there may be four. I saw Gregor on the outside of the AT-TE at one point (he had a Commando gauntlet), but the Trooper to the left has Boil's facial hair.

No problem. If you do find yourself struggling to get through the show at times, let me recommend some episodes that are a breath of fresh air:

The arc starting with "Darkness on Umbara". Feels like a Vietnam War movie in some ways. Focuses on clone troopers.

Anything with Maul in it. TCW turned Maul into an actual character, and Sam Winter (who will be voicing Palpatine in Rebels) does an amazing job playing Maul.

Watch the episodes regarding Domino squad. There's some training episode > Rookies > Kamino invasion episodes > The Citadel arc > Umbara arc > Season six Fives/Order 66 arc.

I know you don't want to skip anything, but TCW in the earlier episodes (and some later ones) can be a serious pain to get through.
