Windows 8.1 is alright with Classic Shell to bring back a (customisable) start button menu.A shame they moved some shit around from Windows 7, I always have to google where a certain rarely used setting is because 8.1 decides to hide them from me.Windows 7 is still my favourite.

Forget it.there's a 30 day trialPass.I mean you're missing out but alrightSee that's the thing. Something like that shouldn't cost $2.99. Why pay money for that if I can just go back to Windows 7, install the Universal Theme Patcher and get loads of third party themes?Besides, last time I installed a custom theme on Windows 10, it brought the entire OS to a grinding halt. The taskbar had trouble loading. I couldn't start the taskmanager to restart Windows Explorer, nothing.Because someone had to program that and it wasn't Microsoft. And you can still use it after the trial ends, but some features are turned off. A lot of the custom themes actually utilize this anyway so yeah.I tried out the trial and by the end I decided that I didn't want to go back to the old start menu, so I threw a few bucks in and got a few keys for myself along with a few backups to support the people that made it. They're super good with updates and making sure it works seamlessly. It doesn't slow your computer down in the slightest.Nothing wrong with giving the trial a shot if you prefer to make Windows 10 run more like 7.
