So the recent episode of The Walking Bore was actually pretty good for a change

emigrate or degenerate. the choice is yours
>actual tension is introduced for the first time in about 8 episodes
>actual character development is introduced for the first time in about 4 seasons (e.g. Eugene arc)
Spoiler
>people die that aren't background characters, adding some emotional weight to the story
>excellent use of practical effects instead of just pouring blood and having someone scream as per usual
>the episode started to dip its toes into GoT style political backstabbing and scheming
>decent choreography and sound design instead of just looping the same kind of zombie splatter audio over and over

It's a shame this kind of writing isn't as consistent throughout the entire season.

OH WAIT, MAYBE ITS BECAUSE THE SHOW HAS ABOUT TWENTY MILLION DIFFERENT WRITERS AND DIRECTORS

Fuck sake AMC.

IMO wandering around and contemplating about whether they should continue going on or not for 2 seasons doesn't constitute as character development but okay...

well season 4 was pretty much all character development...it couldnt do anything else because it had to clean up season 3's mess...season 5 has been very tight with barely any filler, IMO only a couple episodes that could be considered filler and they still had a good lot of character development and moved the story along in some way.
