It's short for Promenade, and in the first world it is a formal event at which High School seniors get wasted.

I went to mine, it was chill. Date was ok but she wasn't really my type. Dinner was good and dance was fun. Didn't go to after prom because my date was tired so I drove her home.

I went to mine with the only girl I could say that I "fell in love" with. Was friends with her for a while and asking her to prom is a defining moment of my teenage life. Unfortunately there were some unforeseen circumstances that wrecked any chance of us being more than just prom dates, but we still had an amazing night together. Haven't found a girl who could make me feel quite like she did...

Oh and I hosted an after party at my house which was fun as fuck. Someone puked in my pool, people were doing lines of blow in the bathroom, and I smoked weed for the first time that night. Goddamn, thinking back on it is putting a smile on my face.
