Of course I show affection in other ways...that's not at all what marriage is. It's a solid, legal obligation to someone, trusting them as a confidante, legal proxy, financial partner, parent, and spouse.

I've never heard of anyone who didn't want to have a wedding having one. This is just you showing how edgy and not main stream you are because you're too cool for weddings.
