Last I remembered, the front page of the Flood looked like this.

We had a lot of posts about current events, tech stuff and gaming related news. The threads were required to generate discussion about the topic, and not just for Floodians to blog about their own lives.

Currently there is not a single thread reporting on any type of news on the front page of the Flood and there are only about 3 threads with original topics. There are no less than 8 threads asking for "honest opinion" or "AMA" about themselves. These users are using the forum as a popularity and ego boost, me me me let's talk about me.

It is alright to talk about events in your personal life, but creating threads to ask other people to talk about you just completely goes against the spirit of what the Flood used to be. The fact that the moderation team does not care about so many threads on the front page and ignores it is extremely worrying.

You can't ban someone for the simple reason of "jumping on a bandwagon". But you also can't deliberately NOT ban people for jumping on a bandwagon.

The attention whore trend is just that, a trend that will die off in a day or two. How about instead of complaining about it you actually create an original thread?
