Today I was in Intro to Japanese Civilization and the professor was lecturing on Kabuki theater and the men who played women (onagatta) on stage and were thought to embody feminine ideals better than "real" women.

As I'm sitting in the front and scribbling away at my notepad I hear from the back of the room,  "So is this where traps come from?"
I shit you not, these were that person's words, and everyone in the room did the Picard simultaneously.
There have been few occasions where I required greater self-composure.

There were scratches from fingernails in the MRI machine I was in today. Apparently someone was pretty claustrophobic. It reminded me of the coffins where people were buried alive accidentally.

Firstly, I find no fault with the question, it just struck me off-guard in an "academic" setting.
Second, the professor had no idea what he was talking about, so the student went on to explain what he meant.
And my face looked almost exactly like this.

I had no problem with your response to the question because you didn't list one, though now you have I can imagine myself grinning like an idiot.

How exactly did he go about explaining it?

This was me exactly. I had to restrain the myriad keks within my breast... my face didn't fare so well.

I think it went along the lines of something like this, "Well in some anime there are boys who really look like girls..."

You see I've been ruined by Boku no Pico and 4chan collectively, so my first thoughts went to trap threads and ice-cube lubricant as opposed to something like Ouran Host Club (which was probably more in line with what he was referencing).

I say "think" and "..." at the end because I was focusing hard to stop myself from bursting into uproarious laughter.
It's good that next week we'll be discussing Saikaku and tales of men sailing to islands of women on boats filled with dildos. Then I'll be free to laugh without being a dick.

They had discovered my vertebrae where thicker than normal and wanted to know if it was congenital or not.
