Everything will need to be developed again, so a lot of features that weren't possible before will be possible now. I DO plan on using markdown instead of BBCode, since it's a lot easier to work with on a phone than typing out long encapsulation tags. What that will mean is that YouTube and other embeddable "things" like soundcloud, Vimeo, etc. could just be rendered as embeds on the front end and all users would need to do is type the URL (the app would figure it out).

Where's coup?
Quote from: V on August 15, 2020, 11:28:00 AMWhere's coup?So there's customization features I am planning:1. Coup, where users will be able to save custom CSS rules that are scoped so they ONLY apply to their own posts and can reference images and backgrounds that users upload (in order to ensure users aren't loading in massive image files). This would be a toggle that is off by default, but that anyone can turn on in order to see the coup'd version of everyone's posts.2. Custom stylesheets so that users can "theme" the site. I'm a bit undecided about this one, since I do intend on making the front-end open source so that users who are css savvy can contribute their own complete styles and create pull requests. I am leaning this way over just letting anyone submit css themes, since that way I can ensure quality while also keeping it more or less democratic and open.
Would be good to have Youtube videos only load when corresponding Youtube spoiler tag is open (if such thing will still exist in 3.0). Same for images in spoilers. Now I request that, but I have no idea how hard it is and API might just handle it automatically.
not something i would urge you to implement or anything, but i still think it would be neat if our "likes received" page could be sortedit would be cool if we could look back at our most liked posts over the years without having to sift through each page manually

Also a detail I had planned too. Images will be lazy loaded so they come in at the last second and YT vids won’t load their iframe until a user interacts with them.
When is the update?
