If you have sensitive ears I'd reccommend taking some kind of ear plugs because it wasn't comfortable for me at all. I looked it up and other people have had the same problem.

Watched all and all are great in their own way. They really feel new and fresh. I like this change of pace for blockbusters compared to the old formula.

It's a movie, and it's Nolan. No movie is louder than firing a mortar or a rifle in a room. He made it so loud so you could try to feel what the soldiers felt on that beach in terms of adrenaline and fear.
and it ended up being louder because beaches aren't closed rooms

I can't believe getting caught was actually part of his plan. They actually found one of the pilots in the wreckage.

I just started noticing it, but Christopher Nolan makes movies that focus on the concept of time. Nearly all his movies are about that and the soundtrack for all his movies follow this same theme, time and the illusion of it speeding up.

They say you are what you eat, but I don't remember eating mYsELF
Harry Styles was surprisingly good in it, actually stood out imo

also the soundtrack was weird at times, there were parts of nimrod by Elgar played but with the tempo slowed down drastically

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
Saw it on 70mm yesterday. Fantastic movie, especially the first 20 or so minutes. Great use of silence, and the pacing was outstanding.

I found it pretty boring
But that's probably 'cause I'm more inclined towards character driven stuff opposed to cinematography / emotional

I swear he cast Tom Hardy in that role just to give him an aviator jacket and talk in a muffled voice.
