But now the real question is, do you wake up dead?

You mean waking up after sleeping and then a split second later you die?
No, I mean wake up dead. The debate of the millennium. How do you not know?

Then you're not dead are you?

The only way that a person is truly dead is when their neurons stop firing. That's another way to go btw, brain-dead.

Everything else in the body works except the brain's neurons stopped firing. So unless your neurons are going regardless, you're dead if they stopped firing.
But do you wake up somewhere else, sometime later, alive?

I guess that depends in your beliefs.
Do you wake up in a dream, do you die in your dream, how do you become aware you died?

Spoiler
Also, screwing with Deci is nothing to be ashamed of.
I try to be nice to people that haven't wronged me

Man I agree with this. Nobody lives forever, might as well make the time count.

Yeah, I'm afraid more so of how I will be remembered rather than how I died.

That's why I try to make people's lives in this world as enjoyable as I can, so I can leave a positive impact on their life and be remembered as a good person.
for me, the only reason I dint want to die is I don't want to make my family have to mourn me.

Yeah, that's a valid point to. Though for me, I rather have people mourn for me rather than them saying "Good Riddance" because of me making or doing bad choices and things.

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.
But now the real question is, do you wake up dead?

It actually tends to be the bulk of what I think about these days. I've considered writing stories about a guy who kills himself just to see what the other side is like, only to "discover" that it really is nothingness. If only that wasn't trite as fuck.

I think a friend of mine might've been on a cruise or something that he happened to be on too. Could've been some other Christian author, but the name is familiar and I don't typically listen to worship music or read Christian novels. hmm :/

Y'know, you can always put that it's your belief, that you feel strongly about instead of stating it as fact and implying that anyone who doesn't believe it is just deluding themselves as a coping method.

Or you can approach this scientifically and come to the realization that when you're gone, you're gone. No more you, no other universe, none of that. Back to no longer existing. Should have not clicked the first spoiler to begin with, that's why I made it a named spoiler. Seems like you like to argue with me. I for one have accepted the truth of what happens, hence I'm not afraid of death because it is the actual end of your life. Apparently you'd like to challenge that. Go ahead. Find proof that there is something after death and I'll consider it, otherwise, this is what it is. Either you accept it or believe whatever you want to believe.

Okay, do you want me to read it or not, because you're telling me not to, but it seems like you expect a response?

Scientifically, we can't tell for sure what happens after death because you're dead, making it kinda difficult to tell if anything happened that we can't see as the only people that could tell us are dead.

This is the first argument I've had with you. :/

If I could prove to you that there is consciousness after the body no longer works, then I'd have a doctorate in Metaphysics, or some crazy ass shit, or I'd be the world's most persuasive man, but that's not the case.

Yet, you have no proof that it cannot be. How can you be certain of something if you cannot prove that anything else is impossible?

Science and what we know is always growing, so backing yourself into a corner isn't a wise idea if you want to be on the side of science.

Other people are naturally geared toward the idea of an afterlife. Claiming fact because you feel that something is so is not scientific in the least. Going by that logic, everyone is right based on how they feel about the issues.
