It always annoys/baffles me when people share that sentiment

I genuinely dont see what's creepy about it, I would love to date anyone regardless of age. If you fall in love with someone you shouldnt be scorned for it just because she or he is way older than you

In another chat room I was wondering this too because someone asked me the same question.

Originally my best friend hooked me on two shows which remind me of him, and I suppose even after we lost contact I still appreciate the time we spent together. Whenever an anime captures that feeling I'm polarized in its favor. Over time I've identified more broadly with Japanese aesthetics common to those types of shows.

Apart from that aesthetic and its "agreeableness", the anime I really like typically encourages some kind of personal improvement, which I like to take seriously.
Everything else can probably be summarized as "I like animation generally" and I find some drama in anime to be entertaining enough to justify watching it (even though I don't think that's an ultimately justified view in my case).

I don't like most shows trending with anime fans, but I appreciate some classics.

I don't know about you guys, but what took me out of the episode most is when Scaradouche used that penis head guy's body to get on the boat, then actively commented on how he was a freak because "his head looked like a penis."

More than anything else, I think that's the most jarring thing about the series reboot so far. It was completely unlike the original, out of line with the show's tone, and considering douchey's a robot how does he know what a penis looks like?

I think I'd have been somewhat cool with it if it was just the penis line out of nowhere for comedic value and then back to kid-friendly material for the rest of the show.

Then they started throwing around words like "badass" and this is the way it's going to be from now on I guess.

Any implementation of the penis line would be out of tone with the series and really jarring considering this show hasn't done anything that juvenile before this point.

I'm not bothered by the use of "damn" and "badass" at all, that's a normal part of my vernacular and I never saw enough of the original show for it to interfere with my perception of what samurai jack "should be."
I appreciate that they're doing some new things with the show, and the blood was at first surprising, but now I'm used to it.
I think Scaradouche's line was antithetical to the atmosphere they've so far established and completely unnecessary.

I'm looking forward to the end. I want to see the story finally conclude and then that'll be the end of it.
The fifth season should exist only to provide a real ending to a cartoon we all loved as children and then the Jack name should be retired.

What do yall think: will Jack go back in time and defeat Aku or will he defeat him in the present and remain there? I feel like going back in time would invalidate most of the series.

I don't really know. I'm expecting some sort of twist on what we expect.

I wouldn't mind it if he satyed in the present and truly made a life for himself there.

He needs to go back. It's how the show has to end.
Jack is going to have to reconcile the fact that everyone he knew and met and cared for and Ashi while in Aku's future is not going to exist anymore in that way when he returns to his time to undo everything and stop this future from happening.

It will be character development and forced drama and one sad last kiss scene between Jack and Ashi and I shall enjoy it.
