Is it actually non-canon, or is the end so ridiculous it's hard to believe the creators made it canon?it's probably not all that bad--this is me we're talking about but like what napalm said, the series has gone in a direction that NOBODY (except for 13-year-old shippers and people who missed the point of the first four seasons) wanted it to goexpect fanservice of all types and little else, samurai jack is pretty much dead to me
>people thought this would end up being goodlmao
REMEMBER KIDS:you cannot be spiritually complete as a person unless you find a significant other!
LMAO I knew fucking verbatim would have an issue with JackXAshiit was NEVER a father/daughter relationship and the people who wanted that are fucking retardedJack and Ashi have so much chemistry and you're a moron if you think the romantic element wasn't 100% necessary
just because you think romance has no place in a good story doesnt mean it cant happen

By thinking you need to protect younger women from older men you are being misogynistic. An adult is an adult.

and yes, your opinion is incredibly misogynistic--the whole message of the episode, and perhaps the entire show so far, is that you cannot be a complete person without a romantic partner; you can't just be independent

That's never fucking stated or implied. You're fighting ghosts, dipshit. Jack and Ashi didnt need to end up together, but they did and it was very natural

explain to me how the show implies you need a partner to be wholeit fucking doesnt, youre reading into it in an attempt to find something wrong
Quote from: SecondClass on May 07, 2017, 05:36:58 AMexplain to me how the show implies you need a partner to be wholeit fucking doesnt, youre reading into it in an attempt to find something wrongby doing it at allthis is jack's character arc--he's alone and depressed until he finds a significant other to complete himhe can't just find something within himself; his self-worth is awkwardly chained to another personfucking stupid
except that's fucking wrong - Jack had ended his depression and grief at the end of episode 6. He was the one who slayed the horseman, the representation of his guilt. It wasn't Ashi's love that made Jack come out of his depression, it was knowing that he had made the world a better place, and that his friends and allies are still out there holding the torch.
