and Hamilton isn't going anywhere, they're adding a female to the bill but not removing Hamilton. It isn't clear yet if they'll share a bill or if there will be two $10 bills in circulation.

I'm going off of memory for this so it might not be accurate
Bills are phased out at different times, I think the $20 was redesigned the most recently, like 1927. So they're going for a bill they haven't 'recently' changed this time.
