because we hated bnet's update so much

well sacrificing functionality for an aesthetic appearance is one of the shittiest excuses of not improving, that I've personally heard of.
It's kinda dumb that you can have like three quote pyramids intertwined with each other with different people conversing on different parts of a subject. It's hard to navigate and find out what's happening when things are like this. If b.net for one thing right, it was that the UI wasn't retarded and unpractical.

If you can then up to 3 would be nice.
Other than that don't get rid of them.

everythings much more accessible there than it is here. I can change everything on my account on my phone for the b.net. Notifications actually work. It's easier to find threads especially when people take the time to hashtag them. On here, I find out hours later about received massages. On bungie I see them instantly. That site just felt less jumbled. If this is how the old b.net used to be then I really really don't understand what you people liked about it.

You know it's really that much of an issue, Updated Topics works pretty well.
I don't even bother with notifications. Never have.

updated topics is literally the only useful function when it comes to forum viewing. The notifications have actually gotten a lot better but I liked how you could always see and access them on the bnet.

The Updated Topics page is a nifty feature that I use on all SMF forums. Notifications on this website are a 3rd party plugin sorta thing so yeah it makes sense that it's buggy. So notifications are kinda irrelevant to me.

Everyone always harps on about how this place is an entirely different site to bungie.net. Why not let it be its own site then? i.e NOT being deliberately like or unlike bungie.net.

It's not really about trying to be like b.new or b.old. It's about functionality. B.new just happened to have some features that were very practical. Like basically having a subthreads spoiler that could otherwise take up pages of space on here.

I was responding to Verb, who was clearly saying "no, because that would make us be like bungie.net". And I already expressed my confusion as to why someone wouldn't like subthreads. "Because they don't like it" doesn't clear anything up.

People not wanting it because they don't like it is a perfectly viable reason to not have it.
