I acknowledge that dusty boy is spiteful grudge holding sack of old sacks and that he's a "troll." But I hold no ill will and don't go out of my way to attack him. It took me one day to get over the fact that he wandered over there and sunk a thread.

I don't hold grudges. Not for long. And either should you folks.

I won't. But considering that there's still worse folks wandering around here, and the way this community treats people, both people inside the community, and newcomers, is a tell of what's going to happen in the future. This place is not a welcoming place.

It's not a welcoming place for people who've been here for a while because you get drama and shit like this. And it's not welcoming for outsiders because the community itself is inherently hostile on almost every level. So shit's a mess now. Well, actually it isn't. Not for you folks. Kiyo is long gone at this point. And unfortunatly for me I'm her friend and I'm damn worried about what's up on her end of things now. So that's my business now. Keep an eye out and make sure things are okay and help if I can because I can tell she's in a really bad way right now.

And as for this place? Well, just you wait. Mark my fucking words. This has nothing to do with this latest batch of drama. This has to do with the fact that overall and in general, this place is hostile on all fronts. And just like Kiyo getting what she put out, this place will too.

And, like Kiyo, it has good sides. But it's going to fall apart. This place has made that abundantly clear by now.

Its not like people were calling for her execution. No one forced her from the community. She just wasn't the best choice for mod. That's it. She had multiple chances to demonstrate she had the professionalism necessary for a moderation position. More than a lot of other people would have for doing the same shit. She didn't take any of those chances.

At the end of the day the demotion lies at her feet. Some people can accept that and learn from it. Others cannot. People can continue to paint this however they like. I'm sure there will be people who act like she was a complete monster, and I'm sure her friends will act like she's a complete saint. At the end of the day this stuff doesn't just fall out of the sky. The way you treat others and conduct yourself has repercussions. Especially if you are in a position of power and are representing the site.

If i remember correctly, a shit ton of you voted for her to be a mod during the early ninja polls of the site. I must admit, she did better than i thought she would, but i knew something like this was gonna happen.

Due to sandtrap's insightful posts I have removed the story regarding Kiyo. While I do not personally harbor the grudge other users held against her, I do not think it was a good idea for her to be made a moderator. I've seen the sort of shit she posted on bnet and on here and to be honest it pissed me off, which I assume was her intent. As a sufferer of autism, I completely understand the struggle with depression. I understand the devastating effects it has on one's life and how it can tempt them to do and say rather shitty stuff. However, depression is no excuse to be an asshole. I'm certain some of you remember the shenanigans I pulled on the old website with the MMJ persona, but that wasn't the worst stuff I did. If somebody pissed me off, I would not hesitate to use whatever I know about them against them. There was a user, (I won't say her name), who admitted she was a victim of rape. She did something to piss me off and I forgot what it was but I used that against her. I will not repeat what I said, but it was quite horrible. I was a despicable little shit who had a sadistic streak. Was it "inspired" by my depression? Maybe. But people held me accountable for my actions and I strove to become a better person. I did not like what my actions were doing to me.  People are holding Kiyo accountable for her actions in much the same way I was held accountable for mine. Perhaps instead of rage quitting and throwing a fit, she should think of this as a learning experience.

With that being said, I do not hate Kiyo. I don't even know her that well. But I do think we judge people by their online personas without thinking about what might be happening in their lives. Take Noelle for example. Everybody seems to hate her, but I've had plenty of conversations with her on skype. I've never had a problem with her. Could she be emotional? Yes. I've even called her out on a issues but I did it in a respectful manner and I also offered suggestions on how to best handle certain situations. And after the shit she is going through (I'm not going to elaborate so don't ask) I don't blame her too much for flying off the handle at times.

At the end of the day, it is always a good idea or both parties to try and be the better person. Kiyo should not be a moderator, however nor should she be crucified. And that's enough drama for me. Well, enough drama on this website anyway. I have desticles to attend to.

So what you're telling me right now, is that people are bitching and celebrating and doing whatever and throwing it Kiyo's way. When it was somebody else's decision to have her as a mod. You don't just fucking up and make yourself a mod. You get picked.

Again, I understand that being a mod isn't easy and this whole thread is about not everybody being perfect, but if you know a hostile environment from members is driving people away, then it should be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

I was thinking we should try something like that.

We can't ban users for being a dick, or being abrasive - that is the problem. Yes, if it gets to the point where it is personal attacks and/or harassment, of course we step in. But until then, all we can really do is try and explain why they're in the wrong.

But many of the users I was referring to don't go to that level - or they do it in Anarchy.

Damn, I thought we had a rule on that prior. But fair enough, I understand the problem with this sorta thing.
