This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.
Rebel Scrubs.

I. It drove technological development.

II. They don't needlessly kill aliens, despite their humano-centrism.

III. The Empire's government stimulated the economy.

IV. It's actually fairer than the Old Republic.

V. It's more effective than the Old Republic.

VI. The Rebellion is actually quite unpopular.

VII. They gave the Galaxy order.

VIII. Their worst crimes are against terrorists.

IX. Getting rid of the Jedi was positive for the rest of the Galaxy.

X. They were the only reason the Yuuzhan Vong didn't take over the Galaxy.

emigrate or degenerate. the choice is yours
Daily reminder that the Rebellion are religious fanatics that killed hundreds, possibly thousands of people because they didn't agree with the Empire's political alignment.

Pretty much. I always feel that factions like the empire and Titanfall's IMC are the more interesting faction when compared to the rebel faction.

I wish Star Wars was like Continuum. In that show the rebel like faction are terrorists. Their actions are trying to prevent the corporations(Which would be the Empire in this example.) from taking over but the things they do are not on the side of justice. They do kill innocent people or people in their way to get their objectives done or whatever they're trying to do done. In Star Wars it's so black and white. The Empire is seen as this generic evil faction that must be stopped and the Rebels are the generic good guys on the side of justice who do nothing wrong. We never see the Rebels blowing up an Imperial target that ends up killing civilians who are not involved with them. And we never see the Empire doing anything good to help the people or something that implies they are a good thing. They are bascilly being portrayed as the Nazi's.

I love the empire and the rebels sucked shit, but nuking Alderaan is about as easy to justify as nuking Nagasaki.

They were sympathisers and they were hiding the important rebels... ooookaaaaaayyyy buuut we didn't turn Pakistan into a glass crater because Bin Laden was hiding there .-.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

Well prior to Disney's colossal fuck up with the EU it had been established that Alderaan was directly responsible for creating the rebel alliance, had been funding them, and were supplying them.

So Bail Organa isn't the Rebellion's bankroll anymore?

Um...

Spoiler
Most of your points are invalidated by the fact that at the start of IV, the Empire was days away from ending the Rebellion, dissolving the Senate, and enforcing tyranny throughout the galaxy with unstoppable power, focused around an extremist theocracy.

Since that was expanded universe stuff no. Alderaan is now completely innocent.

Not entirely, Bail still seems to be playing a key part in the Rebellion... as shown in Star Wars Rebels.

No no no. Death to the fucking Empire

Palpatine consolidated his power by launching Purges against his opponents, most notably the Old Republic officers, whom he hadn't been able to seduce to his side. Any officers who held anti-Imperial sentiments were arrested and executed by Admiral Mulleen, under Palpatine's orders. He also ordered the killing of all Jedi, including children at the temple. Later on, the planet of Caamas was devastated and turned into nto a poisoned wasteland from Imperial bombardment

On top of that, the planet of  Kashyyyk was a hub for slavery as all the Wookies were forced into slavery. You also have the Death Star destroying Aldeeran and plans to blow up several more planets, leaving billions dead.

Damn right, they have the coolest, and most technologically advanced military in any sci-fi series.

Except for the Forerunners, Precursors, 40K marines, Arguably Reapers/ Protheans and so forth.

I was wondering when a Halo fanboy would show up :)

The Precursors are not as strong as Halo fanboys make them out to be.

-Power to create stars and planets
-Their structures are indestructible for all methods save a halo pulse
-They can fucking bridge planets. Physically. With structures. That you could drive across.
-Create every species in the galaxy
-Are gods in their own right

Hell, the Yuuzhan Vong would fuck the empire up.
