I'm not sure how I feel about groups considering this is a small site that's practically a group, but I'll reserve my judgment until it happens. Group PMs, however, would be an awesome feature.

I hate to disappoint you guys, but there are maybe one or two total even slightly active private groups still existing on Bungie.net. I've already looked for them, absolutely everything you'd recognize by name is a ghost town. Except one of course. :^)

So, bend over for the groups of a site that we left and users that didn't come here until you made plans specifically for them?

I want to see groups happen, but this idea is terrible.

I'll be interested to see what effect groups have on this place. To be honest, I'm skeptical.

I tried getting some of the prominent posters before the update over here... Misha and Soph were the only two and maybe made about five posts combined.

Well, and we have Cindy, but she's still butthurt because I think she'd look better as a trap than a woman.

We need to amass a larger population maybe double the size of what we have now before private groups can be a thing....

And we have to come to terms that bungie.net has only so many recruiting options left.

For real though, this is a really small site

It basically already functions as a group

Groups are a way to contain your friends from the larger population of a forum

We don't need that

Groups here will cause more drama and separation

We'll have groups to spite users or other groups
We'll have groups that exclude members and undoubtedly cause butthurt and drama
We'll have like 1O dead groups and 2 alive groups

Honestly if you really think about it, there's no reason to have groups
Our forum isn't big enough to where we need to have groups to keep friends close

The only reason you're doing this is because you feel like we need it to be a traditional forum and you feel like we need to evolve but we really don't

This place has only been around for a year

But to be honest, the people here are dumbasses lol (<3)

They may want it because it seems new and shiny but if you really think about how it'll play out, it won't be that great

It'd literally be the same thing now except with less people in each group
Plus groups are meant to be places of discussion for things not commonly placed on the forums
Namely gossip, porn, and flaming
All of which I'm pretty sure you won't let ride
