I typically got banned like once a month on b.next which explains like the 4 alts I have. Some I did deserved, others iffy and had one that was the dumbest shit

This. I got banned a month for posting this. The kicker was that I posted it a week early and only got banned after that week which fell on the same time as the whole lenny face #density raids going on. I mean really, it doesn't look like a fucking lenny face nor was it posted in the fucking density forums.

Every ban I ever ended up with was fair, looking back at it. Well, except that one that I have no idea what it was for.

First few weeks of being on the site I cut loose into a rant about some silly thing on the Halo 3 forums. Got me a two week ban. Ironically, this is what sparked the creation of a second account through black magic because when I returned after the ban my original account was non accessible.

Second ban was for tiptoing just a bit over the line.

Third was for my sense of humor going just a bit too far.

And the fourth was something to this day I have no idea what it was. During the early days of the big site update when you don't know which mod banned you or what for.

And I got a 3 day ban for posting that. And that is still my only ban.

Got banned for making a "how are you guys" thread. Was 400 replies in, one of the friendliest threads to ever grace b.old flood. And I got banned for I think a week or two because it had no subject or topic. Really stupid reason, especially the premise of the thread, but whatever

Bias is the worst trait in a moderator.

There's nothing wrong with being biased as a moderator. Everybody has them, it's part of being human. What matters is how you choose to act upon them.

For example it's no secret that Kinder and I have done more than our fair share of shit flinging towards each other. We have issues that we don't see eye to eye on and never will. However when I was a moderator on the first offsite I chose to act against my natural bias against him and help him and Noelle through the harassment within the bounds given to me. I actually PMed them first when I first got the notice that this was happening and even though I might not have responded to every PM they sent in return I did read them fully and take them into account.

I didn't let my biases influence the way I went around doing my job as a moderator.
