No, you told them what it was. That defeats the purpose of having a system of weeding out the trolls.
The first post is moderated to keep someone from registering and immediately spamming the forum with dick picks. Sure, it slows down trolls as well, but it's mostly used as a gate to stop sick shit from happening while the mods are away.

I would not be opposed to setting up a front page blog for reviews if we can get some good writers.

Maybe a custom nameplate for those who do write articles, quality ones though, can't have just anyone writing one.
This. The mods can move the quality posts into the News board I'll probably rename the Updates board to, which will eventually be displayed on a front page I set up. The consistently-good authors will get a nameplate and permission to post to that section by themselves.Most likely, I mean.
