if he does come back to the movie, then it would mean that some EU elements are in the movie that make it official canon.

I never really liked Boba Fett. He was cool but his role in the films was limited and I'm not sure why people love him so much. I guess it's deleted EU that really covered him....

People just like Boba Fett because he looks cool. He's just as shitty and shallow as any other minor bad guy in Star Wars despite the fact that for the last 30 years expanded universe has been trying desperately to force badassery onto him.
