Sounds a lot like the Midwest in the United States. Yeah, there seem to be a great deal of cultural similarities between Canada and the US. Though we both know which one is more powerful in terms of influence....

That I don't disagree with. I hate the consumerism, commercialism, and the culture of just buying useless shit endlessly. But that doesn't mean I can't respect it for the way it's influenced other cultures.... *sigh*
