Let me ask you all something. Would you consider a person that kills insects and arachnids for fun as vile as someone who guns down deer for a laugh?

Minus my feelings on hunting, they just don't look aesthetically pleasing at all. Would rather have posters/wall hangings of actually good art, music I like or something which is important to me. Not some dead deer.

I don't kill insects or arachnids when I can take them outside. Unless getting outside is impossible and dangerous like Wasps. I don't enjoy it though.

A lot of people seem to forget that they are alive as much as a deer is.

I have been able to open a window for a bee and it fly out without killing it. Got so near it that if it were a wasp, it would have attacked me.

I think hunting is pretty idiotic. I do not see it as a sport or anything. Hunting out of necessity and survival is one thing, but in our current society you can go to a store and buy food.

lol this thread. People who have never gone hunting and don't understand how animal population control works. For example deer have no predators now that wolves are largely endangered. They breed like rabbits too. If you don't curb the population disease spreads crazy and wipes them out in that area. Same people complaining will be the ones buying eggs or eating burgers without thinking about how shitty those mass farms are. I expect this type of thread from tumblr not spe7agon.

Hunting is good for the environment and ecology by preventing trophic cascades and keeping populations in equilibrium. If hunting was suddenly banned, you'd see massive upheavals in predator populations followed by a sharp decline. You'd see the death of many riparian habitats across the country.
I've never gone hunting and I do understand how population control works and is necessary.I don't consider culling in the same light as hunting for fun. And I don't do either of those, instead I buy eggs locally where you can see the chickens roaming around in fields .-.
Hunting for fun and culling are the same thing. There's a limit on how many permits are allowed. You're not going out and killing the entire species. If the population is down or up the permit amount changes accordingly.
Meh thread just reeks of sheltered ideology. People seem to forget the food chain exists.
