English class right now

We were assigned to write a Haiku 13 minutes ago.

Great, now we are allowed to watch short films. I sure am learning a lot. Back to doing nothing! You know what? I'll let you be my english teacher.

Teach me oh wise one. Teach me about capital Is, and apostrophes, or how to use semicolons. Teach me anything!

READ THIS: I feel like I should tell you that she's a substitute teacher. I found out that it was her last day in my school after the class was done.

If you are going to use "if" followed by the past tense "to be", it must be "were".

After some research on the usage of the semicolon, I've concluded that it's not to be used; the comma was correct.

Yeah, commas can generally be used for anything. I honestly have no idea how to use a semicolon.
