I like Star Wars as much as the next guy but I hope it doesn't win anything other than "most money made" the visuals weren't even anything special. It's shit we saw plenty of in the Star Trek movies.

I think it's really cool that Mad Max was nominated for so much shit (it was certainly my MOTY), but honestly?

I think it really only deserves visual effects.

George Miller went through fucking hell to get Fury Road to the big screen. As skilful as Alejandro Inarritu is he didn't put in nearly the amount of effort as Miller did.

Yeah, yeah, he used only natural lighting etc etc but I still think Miller deserves it more.

I thought the Revenant wasn't as great as everyone was making it out to be honestly. I mean that plot wise. But what he did to prepare for the role is nothing short of amazing.

Yeah complete Oscar sweeps are rare. Not even 12 Years A Slave managed to pull it off. The Revenant while good, certainly doesn't deserve all the praise it's getting.

12 years a slave was shit. That hideous negress who won best actress literally did nothing but say a handful of lines and act like she's in pain. She just won by forcing feelings of white guilt, not because of her acting.
