Jacob Potila was actually a Jacob Flotilla of lies.- WarTurkey
Does anyone here enjoy it? Finding and exploring derelict, old and abandoned locations. I find it really interesting, trying to piece together what it used to look like when it was in use and finding artifacts and trinkets scattered around that give the place character. Of course it's usually kind of illegal but the trick is to not get caught...

I still have yet to explore any great places like a hospital or prison or something but I've been in a few houses and stuff. It's pretty creepy sometimes but I love it.

It's pretty neat, but there aren't really any derelicts nearby.

It is interesting when you come across ruins in the forest though, what was once a house or a fancy garden is now just leaf-litter, trees and the odd stone outline.

I love finding stuff like that. The next best thing to that is castles, which there are a lot of here in Wales

Get of my lawn
I had a few friends that got really into it when moved outside of Chicago. They found some really valuable art hidden in the barn of an abandoned farm house. It had to go through probate, but there were no records of any surviving relatives of the owners. Traci made $40k selling it to a collector. It was worth triple, but hey, it was free money.

Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
There's rarely any abandoned buildings where I live. They get dismantled rather quickly.

Welsh castles are great, I had a wonderful time as a kid at cilgerran battering the shite out of my brothers with a wooden sword.

Pretty sure we had a nice re-enactment of the battle of bosworth in just about every major castle in england and wales.

I went there as a kid, nice little side adventure do Fishguard. Nice place, quite peaceful. Kidwelly castle is great but I've been there so many times it's a bit boring now. I really want to go to Carreg Cennen.
