When it comes to ones like baseball, basketball, football, soccer or tennis. What about them keeps them entertaining to watch for lets say three years? To me they would get repetitive fast due to each game ending up in one of two ways. Either team A and team B are equal with each other or team A ends up rapping team B. The same would go for single player sports like tennis or fighting ones like boxing. Either both people are going to be equal or one person is greatly better than the other. To me watching some where each game setup is hardly going to change would get boring after one year.

It's hard to explain why it's entertaining to people who don't like sports.

It is more fun to play the actual sport, but watching the sport can be fun too.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.
Good job simplifying it, obviously it sounds dull when you put it like that. Look there's no point in discussing sports you either like it or you don't.

The closer matches are entertaining to watch, regardless of the Sport. If the result is coming down to the last minutes of play, regardless of who you're supporting, you're bound to be at least remotely entertained.

Every single game is different. Like I watched both playoff baseball games yesterday and was glued to the screen for 6 hours.

I can watch baseball, football, hockey and basketball non stop. Same with golf.

It's probably because I've played them and know that much more is going on than just what one can see on the tv screen.

Excuse me, I'm full of dog poison
For me it's kind of like self flagellation.
I can't stop watching the lions lose football. Whether it be from penalties, bad calls, or the fact that we can't keep our good players.

Keeps me humble.

It's fun to follow a team for years because you get to know the players, you see them improve, you see them struggle through slumps, you see them battle injuries, you see them celebrate their wins, you see them mourn their losses. There's something about being a fan of the team that makes you feel a part of that.

If you're lucky, your team will pick up an up-and-coming star and you'll get to watch them thrive. Or maybe you'll get to witness history and record-breaking. Maybe you'll see championships won. Maybe you'll see iconic players retire.

I never thought of it this way.
