Dude it's been a long time since I've discovered any good new metal. I feel like I know literally all the good metal there is to know. I feel like there's never going to be another good metal album ever again.

Best metal of modern day I've heard is Beketh Nexehmu's debut LP, and chthe'ilist still holds value with me.

There's some fuck on head fi who's going off on me for saying I pirated like 290 metal albums. Idk what sort of piece of shit harasses people over something like that. I found this website called metalmadness.org and it has nothing but metal albums in FLAC, and I downloaded a huge portion of the albums I've already been listening to for years, and this dude is like "you're stealing from artists I love". I want to punch him in the face with a pair of brass knuckles. Too bad I'm small bodied.

But that's also the point jim. People dislike electric wizard because they say they're overrated, but they don't realize electric wizard is genuinely good.

Anyways, you should really check out Beketh Nexehmu's debut LP.

It's hard to find real music, music which sounds like it's striving for some sort of sense of enlightenment. It seems like so many bands now a days, they sound like they were recorded in a comfy recording studio in the middle of summer with their wife and baby. It's music like the first candlemass album, recorded in the cold basement of a recording studio under a railroad in the middle of winter, or beherit's drawing down the moon; it's music like that which I truly admire. So many musicians now a days, you could almost imagine going up to them and mocking them for their lackadaisical music, and them defensively saying "hey dude I don't have to take music seriously, it's just for fun! I'm not a pretentious douche". You can almost sense what the entire encounter would be like.
