I can't say it's my favorite portrayal of Superman, seeing as he makes out with Lois Lane as the ashes of millions of people killed fall upon them.

I don't really have a favorite portrayal of any of them, as long as it's not just meaningless banter aimed at 10 year olds. Doesn't have to be depressing, but I love the darker movies.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the MCU and I don't think the DC films should be like that at all, but I think it's possible to have a darker tone and not make it a miserable experience.

jesse eisenberg, he's playing lex luthor for this. theyve released promotional material showing him bald like lex so i think they might be doing a cancer/chemotherapy arc for him or something, because its weird that he has hair right here

That just makes me laugh even louder. Seriously, it looks like I'm in a staring contest with some college science nerd instead of...well...

...instead of some guy that looks like he could mentally AND physically concave my brain.

I also predict this will be a very long movie to sit down through. We'll have the Superman worship, Superman's conflict with the godlike worship, Batman's intro, Wonder Woman's intro, their motivation for fighting, Lex Zuckerburg intro and motivation, etc.

they do have an awful lot of plots to tie in; remember that doomsday is gonna end up being one of the "big bads" here. though i dont have an issue with jesse-lex not looking intimidating. lex has never been an intimidating guy on his own; he needs his wits and his status to stand on equal footing with supes, even if he has been a bulky guy in some of the adaptations. i have faith that eisenberg and the writers (chris terrio and david s goyer) can pull this off really well.

hes not supposed to look menacing. the entire idea behind most iterations of lex is that he'll beat you with his mind and his money, not his powers/physical endowments.
