Yeah, but come on, some people seriously need to get a grip.

I know what it's like to feel depressed. And I mean seriously depressed. What I needed was a kick up the arse; is my experience ampliative? No, of course not.

This is why I wish I could embrace asceticism sometimes, and discipline myself. The wealth we Westerners have around us while most of the globe goes impoverished, oppressed and culturally deficient is ridiculous. Honestly, if you're pissed off about the fact that your internet has dropped or something like that (and we all get pissed about that from time to time) just grab a fucking book.

Hell, even people who have legitimate problems would do well to try and remember that they aren't the only people suffering in the world.

My housemate was raging in Finnish about some protests they're having over there because the government intends to stop giving the students 700 a month on their second degree, and comparing them to Nazis and the like.

I was kinda in shock about that, considering they not only get free University education there for their second degree, they get paid too. Meanwhile, in the UK... incoming ~50k debt after 3 years...meanwhile in other countries, fucking Primary school isn't a viable choice, or even heard of.
