I've been really into Samurai Jack lately, but pretty much only because of Aku

today I discovered he literally only appears in 23 out of the 52 total episodes

this is so terrible, because Aku is like Azula level awesome and soon I'm going to run out of material - so please refer to request in OP

Lex Luthor from Justice League unlimited was pretty good. Especially when he switches bodies with the Flash.

God, that episode was hilarious.

I don't get why people are into movies

it's like a single long episode

best case scenario, it's really good and you get invested in the plot and characters, only for it to end like an hour later.

TV is such a better medium, you can follow the characters you love over a longer time period and you always have something to watch. Compare "want to flip on the next episode of Breaking Bad" to "want to watch Chinatown again?"

Alongside of which, movies are a greater hit or miss when it comes to developing characters. The Legend of Korra is an example of fucking up with the personalitites of some in the first season, and they eventually straightened them out later in the series. You usually have a 2 hour time frame to keep you hooked for movies, and holy shit the bad characters can really shine.

the more you get to know someone, the more you'll just end up hating them

a movie can be completed in one sitting--it's satisfying, like an ice cream sundae
all the themes and messages are established and then it's done

shows take a million years and you don't even really enjoy half the episodes--it's like eating potato chips
there's so much useless filler and everything just feels stretched out and pointless

Gary Oldman makes some top quality villains.

In general, he's a splendid actor because it's difficult to recognize him in movies.
