Jacob Potila was actually a Jacob Flotilla of lies.- WarTurkey
I'm struggling to think. I didn't think any of the new characters in Rogue One were memorable or interesting so I need  help.

I love you, son.
The film itself wasn't particularly memorable or interesting.

Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
All I could think of right now is Donnie Yen's character.

If they gave most of the characters easy to remember names then maybe they could have been more memorable. I don't like when I have to look up online after a movie, especially Star Wars, to get the names of the characters.

I guess Director Krennic was pretty entertaining when he threw a fucking tantrum and went to Darth Vader to complain about it lol

Calrissian Endor, Chimp Perwee, Chief Bodi, and I can't even remember the name of the dude with Chimp

That's all off the top of my head

I read the Catalyst prequel novel (really good btw, recommend it), so that definitely influences my thoughts, but I think Krennic is a very interesting character. He's interesting because he's intelligent, cunning, and relatively competent, but only  to a point.

His reckless disregard for the chain of command, and his other flaws are what make him interesting.

Having only seen the film, to me Krennic is just a lameo incompetent whiner who gets a bunch of his potential screen time stolen by should-be-cameo villains Tarkin and Vader

Perhaps I should have worded my post differently. He's not necessarily incompetent at what he's good at doing, but he has an overinflated sense of importance, and thinks he's more competent than he really is as it applies to things outside of his talents. I wasn't implying he's amazingly competent or anything.

Here's a good example. Krennic is good at manipulating people, especially on a personal level. An excellent example of this is Galen Erso. However, just because he can manipulate less powerful people and easily manipulated people he knows doesn't mean he can manipulate Tarkin.

Krennic thinks he could though.

I love how he thinks he's equivalent to Tarkin but Tarkin just thinks he's an overconfident shit.

No, but I do keep up with new star wars stuff so I know the basics of it.

I'm planning on picking it and Tarkin up at some point.

None of them were well-developed characters. I didn't find any of them particularly interesting, but I did think Chirrut was incredibly obnoxious and a complete waste of Donnie Yen.

Galen Erso

I would've loved to see what his life was like before he defected from the Empire.

Read Catalyst by James Luceno. Literally about this.
