Except not really, because threads in Serious can still get moved if they're not deemed serious enough topics. And it's generally not encouraged to post anything but religion/politics there, when it damn well should be.

And that isn't going to happen. The most likely scenario, as explained, is to only limit Serious to religion and politics, and have all other topics posted here.

Is it the perfect solution? No - but at this point, The Flood is all shitposting. It needs to have threads to promote discussion.

That's generally the idea for it, but at the same time it would be terribly dull if it was as dry as a desert. Even dustbin's bait is usually fine because it provides an interesting discussion point. It's a fine line really, I know you aren't a fan of all that but I'm not inclined to suck all of the vibrancy out of the serious board simply for the sake of it. Places like Reddit and Youth debates exist for proper serious discussion, the serious board is spawned from the flood so it's hardly going to be stick up the ass for entry.

If you cut down on the people coming here because we ban them, you cut down on how much money can be raised to keep the forums running.
