I've witnessed this with other cats including my own. They love to get their scent on shoes and even play with them. Like, they won't do that with other pieces of clothing.. Then they attack your legs or feet when they want to play. Just this morning I woke up to my cat biting my leg because she was energetic.

Very weird creatures.
