On one hand, money is really amazing. The amount of fulfillment I could get with never ending money would be amazing. I'd travel all cross the world. Hike huge mountains and go swimming in crystal clear waters and lay on white beach sands inbetween a giant crescent cliff while the sun sets making the sky look like pink orange Cadbury cream egg filling. I could donate to children's hospitals and buy more books than I could ever imagine reading. I could eat the healthiest most organic foods 24/7 and make my physique absolutely perfect. I could go on Vipassina retreats and meditate with monks. I could go to any concert or music festival I want with my close friends and give THEM tons of joy as well as me. I could practice living in peace in every single moment

Romantic Love is the most beautiful thing but it's not actually real. It's possessive and based off your own inner lack. I would feel guilty almost, to have knowingly chosen for someone to be with me even though we will be struggling financially. There's also a point in love/relationships where you begin to take things for granted. That feeling of wanting something "more" can lead to you feeling pretty unfulfilled even if things are going great. It's really beautiful to share things with someone though, and connect with them and feel as one. It's the best feeling I've ever had so far tbh

So I say fuck this thread cause im gonna have both

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
that roller coaster that painlessly kills its riders.
how does that work
Inflicts 10Gs of force for 60 seconds. You pass out, and then painlessly die of suffocation.

Complete incapacitation after 12 seconds, the ride just runs longer to insure the people with stronger resistances don't suffer.

Rollercoasters make me nervous, so it probably wouldn't help me not have last-second thoughts.

An off-button would be nice tbh. Cryogenic stasis with the option for revival if the world becomes a utopia 1000s of years down the line would be the best thing.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
By "never make enough money", do you mean as in "never enough money to meet my life goal (i.e. decent house but not enough to fix it's problems, my car is from the 2000's and always needs repairing, my lavish holidays are camping trips in the local countryside)", or do you mean "never enough money to do anything except to survive (i.e. visits to the food bank, I share my tent with some homeless dudes, my car is a rusty bike and ticket-jumping buses)".

Because if the former, love sounds pretty good. It's a nice distraction from the inconveniences in life. The latter however would lead me to taking the money - no amount of love can divert your attention to the serious financial problems surrounding you, and dragging someone down with me just because they are madly in love with me wouldn't be fair.

Either scenario, you don't really win. Shit life with love is still a shit life, being that money is so bound to the quality of life. Money improves my quality of life, but then not being able to enjoy that with anyone serious wouldn't maximise my quality of life.

I suppose there's always gold-diggers.

does this stuff even work?
I guess it all depends on what actually makes you happy.  For some. they could be rich and enjoy all the luxurious things of life. go to fancy places, travel the world. do activities that rich ppl do...things no one else with normal income couldnt. I guess if you're rich with good friends to hang out with, that wouldnt be too bad. Before my current relationship all i did was hang out with friends and i had a blast most of the time. so it's possible to be happy without love, but idk about long term. Look at a lot of famous actors, musicians, athletes, etc. So many of them end up miserable.

Now i would have to go with love. theres so many moments i have with my gf that i wouldnt trade for the world. the smallest things she does really make my day. theres nothing better than fully investing yourself in someone just for them to fully invest in you back. Now for financial needs, as long as we have enough to live, thats fine. But not having enough for food, water, housing, air conditioning/heat. that would suck. but i guess that would make life worth wild. making everyday an adventure to survive off of roman noodles and bottled water.

There's nothing particularly stunning about me in terms of romantic partnership, so having a woman act like she finds me that way would require me to suspend a lot of disbelief. It would seem fake or insincere—I'm not sure if I could genuinely love someone who genuinely loves me, because I consider myself (at this current stage in my life) impossible to be loved, at least romantically. But I also hate money on principle. I don't know.
