Modern-day classics

Things that will be remembered as classics in the centuries to come, like Shakespeare or Mozart. When people talk about "turn of the millenium classics", they'll really be talking about anything from the 80s to five years from now, but what things from our time (within the past ten years) do you think will be on that list?

I don't know about "classics", but the MCU is too huge not to be remembered. An ongoing series of interconnected films and TV shows published over a decade-span and starring a cast of superheroes of supersoldiers, detectives, Norse gods, a thief who shrinks, and an advanced robotics engineer. Hard to forget that, especially since it's a first of a kind.

It's kind of confusing, but I'm saying that this chunk of time (1980-2020) will be an "era" in a way; turn of the millennium. But in this thread specifically, I'm talking about things from the past ten years, more recent things, that will be part of the classics of that era.

LOTR is already considered a classic. The basic fantasy concepts were mostly all set forth by Tolkien.

The Walking Dead is the western equivalent of Shonen Anime that exist for the sole purpose of milking itself for all eternity. There's intriguing plots and characters and all but after a while it dawns on you that the Zombie Apocalypse is never going to end and They're never going to find One Piece either.

aside from the fact that by the point the comics are at, the majority of the walkers are rotted away to nothing and it's mainly just rival groups fighting
