It's too chaotic and there's absolutely no feeling being evoked by those shreaks which sound more like obnoxious whiny teenage angst manifestations than actual vocals. The gutteral pig vocals at the end and the chugga chugga guitar riffs were sort of embarrassing. There's an effect on my brain that I get from listening to the technical wankery of those sorts of guitars, which don't allow for any feeling to be born, and instead grinds the senses like cold rusty gears, painfully.Opinion noted and ignored. One of the most creative and inspired albums one heard in a long time.I should add, that being chaotic isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's just that the way the guitar wank is sprinkled in there makes it sound like a ruckus more than a carefully assorted algebra of discordant music. Some bands truly are able to produce a sort of beauty in chaos, creating a sense of disarray but also a feeling that everything is exactly where it should be. That is a true work of genius, when you hear Le Sacre Du Printemps by Igor Stravinsky, or Obscura by Gorguts (who maintains raw intensity, without becoming showy. It's pure artistic expression, and no fluff. Perhaps the same could be said about My hero, Bela Bartok, and his string quartets). I think that's what the arrangements in that song amount to, is pure fluff. Grating, steel wool fluff being jammed into my brain. It takes a few listens honestly but once it clicks the album gets me super hyped.I've probably listened to it front to back five times in the last two daysI have a highly tuned musical ear and a lot of musical experience. I know fluff when I hear it.
