I don't respect most of your opinions because you are severely limited in the practical aspects of most of the things you support. Nothing in this world is black and white but your stance on almost everything leaves no room for compromise.

That being said I actually agree with you on a lot of issues.

Would that be wrong? I mean I get that you're trying to debate not being selfish but something like getting your license inherently opens up a world of freedom for you. I used to have my mom drive me to and from work when I started at Disney, now I drive myself so she doesn't have to pick me up at 2am and that also gave me the ability to go out with friends and have fun. Using getting your license in an effort to not be selfish seems a bit weak when your veganism argument is much more solid.

Being able to one-up people is an added appeal, or a perk. I wouldn't say it was a "big" motivator, but I would be remiss if I denied that it was a motivator at all. There are no perfectly selfless deeds, as we all know.

Also, electric cars exist. That's what I want to drive.

The lithium ion batteries used to power those have a more negative impact on the planet than a fuel efficient car.
