I was initially surprised that Japanese animation wasn't all garbage because most of what I have watched over the past couple years have been 5-6/10s. Only Steins;Gate, Parasyte, and My Ordinary Life being above the 8/10 on the scale of quality.

Is there any other decent shows I have missed over the past couple years of not paying attention to new animation?

I've been watching Rick and Morty along with Adventure time to catch up but I haven't seen anything about any other shows.

Just realized you meant overall quality, if you want to see something you enjoy or is quality, then you better dig man.

Any genres you like in particular?

Don't let its channel dissuade you - Gravity Falls is an amazing show. It's ending soon, and crazy shit is going down, so I seriously recommend you check it out.

Other than that (if you haven't seen it), A:TLA.

I've watched all of A:TLA and Korra. Korra was "eh". TLA was pretty good and I watch the series on occasion.

I hated LoK tbh

But seriously, if you like mystery/thriller, check out Gravity Falls. It's really funny, too

S1 is more lighthearted (but still definitely has its moments), S2 is way darker

The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.

Really? I found the second season to be much weaker, even though the first season didn't solve the problem of Sybil.
