I heard it's Call of Star Wars

It's not a polished film, unlike TFA. From a creative perspective, I respect RO more than TFA though. Edwards at least tried to do something new. Characters aren't as good as TFA, but characters were also more important to that film because we will be stuck with them for two more movies.

Fanservice is there just like TFA, but TFA's was implemented more seamlessly. It's jarring here. Feels like Disney Corporate decisions IMO.

I do agree that it's good they at least tried to do something different. But I swear the same thing happened here like with Suicide Squad with reshoots changing characters' involvement, and the general flow of the movie for the worse.

Yeah. Really, I want to see the director's original cut. I feel like the first half was as awkward as it was because a lot of stuff was cut. Just my speculation.

I think the world building was better than TFA by far. The movie has problems but it feels like a movie set in the very same universe as the original films. I liked seeing all the different locations even if it was jarring jumping from place to place.

I enjoyed the film, and funny enough I think I enjoyed it more than The Force Awakens.  I don't know, it just feels like something new, i.e. it's not Jedi vs Sith for the 1000th time.  It's not without flaws, though.  The characters weren't...horribly developed, but it was just weird at times, like

When Jyn is mad that Cassian almost fulfilled orders to kill Mads, and upset that the Rebels bombed her dad to hell.  Next scene, she seems cool with all of them.

However, I appreciated the somewhat darker atmosphere, the wonderful attempts at bringing Tarkin and young Leia back through CGI (I barely noticed Tarkin's CGI, but it was kind of weird when he talked).  And those Vader scenes...just absolutely badass.

I'd say it's a 8 or 9/10.  Not perfect, but still a nice movie to watch.

Like TFA I need to see it again in order to better formulate my opinion on the film. It's kind of overwhelming trying to take everything in, and it doesn't help that the people sitting next to me were so fucking annoying I was barely paying attention for the first half.

You're the third person I know that's sat next to shitty people.  Thankfully the theater was packed so I had to take a third-row seat.  There was a guy in the upper rows that kept having these horrible choking and hacking fits during emotional scenes and he was loud as shit.

It really sucks, because I got great seats (I arrived at 8:45, movie started at 10:25), but the two most annoying people in the theater sat next two me.

It was some fat fuck basement dweller and his fat fuck mother. The both ate throughout the entire movie, rustling the paper wrapping of their food in the most loud manner possible, and the mother wouldn't shut the fuck up. Her phone rang twice during the beginning of the film, and whenever ANYTHING happened she would loudly react to it. Somebody got hit? "Ouch!" at a volume that everyone could hear. She had an awful, awful laugh that was basically one really loud high pitched "Hah!", and she laughed about every thirty seconds, mostly at things that weren't even funny. She also reeked of cigarettes.

I know that the first half was pretty jumbled, but I can barely remember it at all because of them. I was really tempted to lean over to the son and whisper "can you rustle that wrapping paper any fucking louder please?"

This is why I wait two weeks before seeing a movie. Four if I know it's going to be in the theaters for awhile.

Personally I don't think it's a horrible film, certainly worth seeing once just to see for yourself. People seem to be somewhat divided on the film.

I think I would give it a 7/10.

I'll probably end up seeing it tbh, I just wait until everyone else has already seen it so I don't have a theater full of twats.

I actually thought it was a decent movie. Specifically the ending scene where all the rebels in the hallway get fucking Vadered. I'll go into more detail later.
